“Turbo” (2024) is an Indian Malayalam-language action comedy directed by Vysakh. The film stars Mammootty as Aruvipurathu Jose, also known as Turbo Jose, a jeep driver from Idukki with a knack for getting into fights. When his best friend Jerry, a bank manager in Chennai, is attacked by henchmen sent by his girlfriend Indulekha’s family, Jose intervenes and takes Indulekha to Jerry’s house. However, Jerry, fearing his family, refuses to accept her.
Jose relocates to Chennai to avoid imprisonment and starts working as a bodyguard for Andrew, a wealthy car dealer. Meanwhile, Jerry uncovers a banking scam orchestrated by Vetrivel Shanmugam Sundaram, a ruthless kingmaker. When Jerry is killed, Jose and Indulekha team up to expose Vetrivel and seek justice for Jerry’s death.
