Directed by Bong Joon Ho, Mickey 17 is based on Edward Ashton’s novel Mickey7. The film follows Mickey Barnes, an “Expendable” worker sent to colonize the icy planet Niflheim. Each time he dies, he is regenerated with his memories intact. However, when Mickey 17 survives unexpectedly, chaos ensues as he confronts his own existence and the dangers of the mission.
