Project Silence is a 2024 South Korean disaster thriller directed by Kim Tae-gon. The film centers on Cha Jung-won, a high-ranking Security Bureau Administrator, and his teenage daughter, Kyung-min. While driving to Incheon Airport, they become trapped on a collapsing bridge due to a massive chain-reaction crash caused by thick fog.
Amidst the chaos, a convoy transporting experimental military dogs, known as “Echoes,” also gets stuck. These dogs, designed for combat, escape and begin attacking the stranded survivors. Jung-won must navigate the dangers of the collapsing bridge and the vicious dogs to protect his daughter and the other survivors.
The film explores themes of survival, sacrifice, and the moral complexities of scientific experimentation. Jung-won’s character evolves from a politically driven figure to a desperate father willing to risk everything for his daughter’s safety.
